a disturbing thing… no offence to ANYONE!! just something i wanted to ask about. pleaseeeee answer.?
I am converting myself to Islam, and I was thinking that when i get wayy wayy older and want to get married, you know…an Islamic man or something would be so fantastic.
that sounds totally childish and weird… but i was just thinking that.
and we could raise our muslim child together.
but i’ve been reading a few books:
not without my daughter

for the love of a child
and they disturbed me, especially for the love of a child because in this it has countless tales of women who have married arab men and then been held hostage in their husbands country, or have had their children kidnapped by the husband.
i got really freaked reading this and though, omigosh what if someday i married someone like that and that happened to me.
are all islamic men like this? even ones who were born and raised in western countries.
probably not, but im still scared.
I felt like this too a while ago, but my family would be a little shocked, so I decided to wait. It is okay if you decide to become Islamic, it is a wonderful religion, one of the closest to what we refer to as heaven, so I think it should be okay. I’m not sure if this sounds right, but if you are serious about it, and really want to leave the western sexualized society behind forever, than that is very brave of you! I warn you though, it might be a bit hard to get used to covering yourself all the time instead of putting yourself into the spotlight. It all depends on how much you love the religion.

The Gerrard Street Mystery and Other Weird Tales $23.34 John Charles Dent (18411888) was a Canadian journalist, author and historian. Dent received his primary education in Canadian schools, studied law in Brantford, Ontario, and became an attorney in 1865. He developed his journalistic skills working for The Daily Telegraph. He also contributed a series of articles to the periodical Once a Week. In 1880, soon after the death of George Brown, founder of the Globe, he severed his connection with that paper and began his first ambitious undertaking, The Canadian Portrait Gallery (1880), which ran to four large volumes. His second book was The Last Forty Years: Canada Since the Union of 1841. This work has been highly praised in all quarters. His third work was a History of the Rebellion in Upper Canada (18856). In addition, he wrote a great many sketches, essays and stories. A collection of his stories was published posthumously in The Gerrard Street Mystery and Other Weird Tales (1888). Dent was elected to fellowship in the Royal Society of Canada in 1887.
