Robin nest near door.?
A robin bouilt a nest in the bush next to my door. Every time I go in or out she flies out of the bush to a nearby tree. The nest has 2 eggs ( I took a peek) Will the robin get used to this or should I use another door and put up a sign so people won’t disturb her. The robin must have been aware of the door when building the nest don’t you think?
If possible I would suggest using a different door, however as long as she returns to the nest soon after you’re out of sight (watch her through a window to find out?), no great harm will be done, the eggs will stay warm. The only issue is that it may draw additional attention to the nest, which predators like cats and larger birds will appreciate…
