Manga Comics Japanese
Im making a manga (japanese comic), can I use anything from the Quaran?

I am and have been making a manga (japanese style comic) for some time now. I am someone who studies alot into Islam and agree with alot of its beliefs, origins etc. Would it be ok to use the Quaran for insparation like i wanted to include a character who shares trates that are like the prophets (obviously cant be like his), aswell as including something like jinn and other random things.

The main problem is that I dont want to say its from the Quaran or anything as its my imagination on top and changing things, like the whole sunni, shia thing can be portrayed in a different way, like its not called shia and sunni but i mean like two groups who share certain key beliefs if you know what i mean. I also do not want to take credit for something that is from God even if im using it and doing it differently.

I really do not think I explained myself best here but yh basically please comment and help me as much you can. I do not want to distort the Quaran in any way, Shukren, Salaam

There are lot of good things present here. Collect some ideas from this website and translate it into Japanese if you can. You take permission from site owner through email if you are making it on large scale.

History of Manga

History of Manga

$129.05

The History of manga originates from scrolls dating back to the 12th century, however whether these scrolls are actually manga is still disputed, though its believed they represent the basis for the righttoleft reading style. Other authors report origins closer to the 18th century. Manga is a Japanese term that generally means comics or cartoon, literally whimsical sketches. Historians and writers on manga history have described two broad and complementary processes shaping modern manga. Their views differ in the relative importance they attribute to the role of cultural and historical events following World War II versus the role of preWar, Meiji, and preMeiji Japanese culture and art. The first view emphasizes events occurring during and after the U.S. Occupation of Japan (19451952), and stresses that manga was strongly shaped by United States cultural influences, including U.S. comics brought to Japan by the GIs and by images and themes from U.S. television, film, and cartoons (especially Disney). Akira (Manga)

Akira (Manga)

$78.07

Akira is a black and white serial manga or graphic novel by Katsuhiro Otomo. Set in a postapocalyptic NeoTokyo, the work uses conventions of the cyberpunk genre to detail a saga of turmoil. Initially serialised in the pages of Young Magazine from 1982 until 1990, the work was collected in six volumes upon completion by Japanese publisher Kodansha. The work was first published in an English language version by the Marvel Comics imprint Epic Comics, one of the first manga works to be translated in its entirety. Otomos art on the series is considered outstanding, and the work is a breakthrough for both Otomo and the manga form. An identically titled anime film adaptation was released in 1988 after releasing 5 comics, shortening the plot, but with its structure and scenes heavily informed by the manga and its serial origins. The manga takes place in a vastly larger timeframe than the film and involves a far wider array of characters and subplots. Author: Miller, Frederic P./ Vandome, Agnes F./ McBrewster, John Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 82 Publication Date: 2009/12/29 Language: English Dimensions: 5.98 x 9.01 x 0.19 inches
