Golden Age Digital

Vinyl LPs versus CD?
I came of age during, the golden age of FM stereo Rock, and use to live by the radio. I was poor back then and could not afford a turntable, or LPs. I now own a large collection of CDs and, a nice CD player. Is it just me, or have old LPs that were digitized on to CDs missing something? The CDs in my collection that were originally recorded using digital technology sound great. However the old LPs that were originally recorded using analog equipment, and have been digitally remastered, seem to have lost something. Throughout the 70′s I did own a nice FM stereo reciver, and lived by the radio. But it seems that the digital remastering of songs from the original analog recordings has taken something from them, does anyone else feel this way? Does anyone else hear the difference?
yes, digitaion of music is a shame, just ask neil young or james taylor
