Friendly Neighborhood Spider

Search Engine Work
How Yahoo and other Search Engines Work
I hope everyone had a good vacation season. I’m aware that I did. Now it is time to make 2010 an even better year than 2009.
Here is an old, but a goodie.
Exactly as in the flick’Spider Man’, Search Engines Have Their Own Friendly Neighborhood’Web Crawlers.’
It’s the search engines that finally bring your website to the notice of the potential shoppers. Thus it’s far better to understand how these search engines basically work and how they present info to the purchaser initiating a search.
internet sites are continually visited by androids called crawlers or spiders.
Search Engines use spiders to index internet sites. When you submit your internet site pages to a search site by completing their compulsory submission page, the search website spider will index your complete site. A ‘spider’ is an automated program that’s run by the search website system. Spider visits a website, read the content on the actual site, the site’s Meta tags and also follow the links that the site connects. The spider then returns all that info back to a central depository, where the data is indexed. It will visit each link you have on your site and index those sites as well . Some spiders will only index a particular number of pages on your website, so don’t create a site with 500 pages!
The spider will periodically return to the sites to check for any information that’s changed. The frequency with which this happens is determined by the search website as well as settings that may be set on your local website in the sitemap file.
A spider is kind of like a book where it contains the table of contents, the particular content and the links and references for all the internet sites it discovers during its search, and it indexes millions of pages a day.
Example : Google, Yahoo, Bing ( msn ).
When you ask a search engine to locate information, it is essentially looking thru the index which it has created and not really scouring the Web. Different search engines produce different rankings because not each search website uses the same algorithm to search thru the indexes.
One of the things that a search site algorithm scans for is the frequency and positioning of keywords on a web page, but it may also sense synthetic keyword stuffing or spamdexing. Then the algorithms analyze the way that pages link to other pages in the Web. By checking how pages link to one another, an engine can both figure out what a page is about, if the keywords of the linked pages are similar to the keywords on the original page.
these are some suggestions to Increase Ranking and Website Traffic
It’s a smart idea to keep these points in mind as they are going to lead to increased site traffic and search engine positions.
1. Create a site with excellent quality content, products.
2. Place primary and secondary keywords in the first twenty-five words in your page content and spread them uniformly throughout the document.
3. Research and use the right keywords/phrases to draw in your target shoppers.
four. Use your keywords in the right fields and references within your web page like Title, META tags, Headers, etc .
5. Make a sitemap file.
6. Keep your website design simple so that your clients can navigate simply between web pages, find what they need and buy goods and services.
seven. Submit your web pages i.e. Every web page and not just the index page, to the hottest search engines and directory services.
8. Hire somebody to do so, if required. Be sure this is a manual submission. Don’t engage an automatic submission service.
9. Keep an eye on changes in search website algorithms and processes and accordingly alter your web pages so your search engine ranking remains high.
ten. Use online tools and resources to keep track of how your website is doing.
11. Observe your competitors and the top ranked websites to see what they are doing right in the way of design, navigation, content, keywords, for example.
12. Use reports and logs from your website hosting company to see where your traffic is coming from or install the FREE google analytics.
thirteen. Investigate your visitor location and their incoming sources whether search engines or links from other sites and the keywords they used to find you.
fourteen. Make your customer visit easy and give them plenty of ways to remember you in the shape of newsletters, free reports, reduction coupons etc .
15. when selling products online, use simple payment and shipment methods to make your customer’s experience fast and easy.
16. Don’t look at your website as a static brochure. Treat it as a dynamic, ever-changing sales tool and location, just like your real store to which your customers with the same seriousness.

Tubular Neighborhood $71.7 In mathematics, a tubular neighborhood of a submanifold of a smooth manifold is an open set around it resembling the normal bundle. The idea behind a tubular neighborhood can be explained in a simple example. Consider a smooth curve in the plane without selfintersections. On each point on the curve draw a line perpendicular to the curve. Unless the curve is straight, these lines will intersect among themselves in a rather complicated fashion. However, if one looks only in a narrow band around the curve, the portions of the lines in that band will not intersect, and will cover the entire band without gaps. This band is the tubular neighborhood. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F.
