Yes. Marvel killed a lot of its value during the 90ies, when they went through the rash of printing collectors’ covers and special editions for the same stories. Such as Spiderman’s wedding cover in 6 different covers. They flooded the market, leading to one of the reasons marvel nearly went bankrupt. Customers began to lose interest and the price of older comics tend to lose value as the company declines.
