Anyone have experience with getting rid of cats?

My wife took a cat in about 2 years ago. We spent the money to get her spayed & shots. Seemed like she was worthy, kids played with her a lot. Soon after, she destroyed a new living room set with her claws, rather than follow my 1st impluse (choke her to death) I spent more money on de-clawing. That fixed that problem. Meanwhile, as she grew she gradually become un-interested in people. If you touch her she insists on licking your scent off. She refuses to sit next to you or allow you to play with her. We have a retriever, she loves him and cuddles with him but hates everyone else. She is truly a basket case. Compulsive disorder or something. Some time ago my wife bought the kids bean bags, found they were destroyed as the cat pissed in them. I found piss on my carpets in basement. Instead of choking her, I took her to the vet, got some pills to help with a potential infection. Now she’s pissed on shoes, comic collection, all over. Do I turn her to a shelter? Ask for euthinizing? Vet?

You should try to find a new home for her on Petfinder.com… Sometimes it’s hard to find the right pet for your life… When it comes to pets bad habits, you’ve gotta find one with habits you can tolerate….

I’ve taken in alot of animals and they usually do have bad habits… You probably shouldn’t take in an animal you know nothing about… Try the humane society or petfinder…

Props to you for putting up with so much and putting time and effort into trying to make the cat fit into your life…. Don’t listen to all the a**holes comments
