Captain America?

Throughout my life my dad has been readin and collecting comics. I was a fan, but not a big fan, I read acouple. I had alot of Ghost Rider, few Spiderman, Some Xmen, I actually collected the entire lil series of Michael Morbius (dunno I loved that character) and I had collected all the Sonic the Hedgehog Comics up till bout issue 110, but after getting ahold of some of the Ultimates Comics I FREAKIN love Captain America. My heart sank when I found out the killed Cap! Does anybody out there know any good info about the Cap movie? I read they are gonna make one, but everything else is scarse.

To answer your question, YES. I had read a few weeks ago on COMICS2FILM.com, in an interview with Avi Arad, the producer behind the recent slew of Marvel comics movies, that Marvel had acquired the rights to film a number of the Marvel characters.

In the past, other studios owned the options to make movies based on some Marvel characters, but Marvel managed to get these back (you would need to read more about this on the site).

Within the next 5 years, Avi Arad stated, there were definite plans to produce the following characters into movies:

The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Ant-Man (although I don’t know why..good character, but not movie material), and quite possibly an Avengers movie featuring Capt. America. There were a few other Marvel characters listed, but these I do recall off the top of my head.

Within the next 5 years, yes, Marvel Studios is planning on a Capt. America movie.
