COMIC RELIEF

How much do comic book writers typically make?

How much does and entry level one make?
How about an intermediate?
How about a top famous writer like alan moore or frank miller?

It depends on several factors.

-The interests of the age (What kind of comic books do you write as compared to the most popular? Is your genre popular?)

-How good and original your stories are (Are your comics any good? How’s the art? Is the plot line in depth and well thought out?)

-How long you’ve been doing it (Publishers pay more for experience and for how many successful comics you’ve created)

-Education (Do you have a degree in Literary Art or in Graphic Art? Or does your degree help you in some way when writing and drawing comics?)

As you’ve probably alreayd guessed, it’s extremely hard to get into comics, if you haven’t started on a story already I suggest you do. Also I know in Japanese comics many Mangaka (Japanese manga creator) work with a successful mangaka as an apprentice before starting their own manga, not sure how it is in the US.

Alan Moore and Frank Miller probably make a very good living off of comics.
