Age Spider Man
You can only answer this if you are a teenager and DON’T read Spider-Man…?
OK, a while ago (what was two or three years now..) Joe Quesada, editor and chief of Marvel Comics, went on record saying that a married Spider-Man (he was married to MJ the main comics for a while) aged the character too much and made him and MJ (I’m not kidding) make a deal with the devil to erase their marriage from everyone’s memory in exchange for Aunt May’s life. Would Spidey being single and MJ barely being in the book (current status quo for the last three years) actually make you pick it up? Or would it actually deter you from the book or do you just not care? I love Spidey, and to comic geeks this is really old news, but I figured it’d be fun to do a little survey just to see if Joe Q’s idea to bring more teens into comics actually has ANY basis in reality at all.
it would make me less likely to pick up the book… however, the plot idea would make me want to read it. * a deal with the devil to erase their marriage from everyone’s memory in exchange for Aunt May’s life* after that, it would probably get kind of boring. single spiderman? no more girlfriend? i think that would make the book alot less attractive to many girls, and also some guys. besides, who says superheros cant be young & married @ the same time?
